Enterprise no code vendor Creatio has announced a major update to its platform, 8.0 Atlas. The update is available immediately to Creatio customers and is compatible with existing versions of the platform.<\/p>\n

The enhancements include a consolidated No Code Designer within which users can design and launch applications, and the Freedom UI Designer, a canvas on which users will have freedom to build and customize UI\/UX in conformity with brand standards. The Freedom UI Designer contains a library of views, templates and widgets and uses AI to make design recommendations.<\/p>\n

Composability. <\/strong>Atlas 8.0 takes a composable approach, allowing users to build applications by accessing composable elements within the Designer (including previously used elements), as well as more than 750 third-party applications, templates and connectors from the Creatio marketplace.<\/p>\n

Why we care. <\/strong>8.0 Atlas was launched with a live stream event, \u201cFreedom Release,\u201d featuring a demonstration of the product and discussions about its significance. From the demo, at least, the new UI looked clean and uncluttered and the drag-and-drop approach simple. But Creatio\u2019s expectations for the platform emerged during the following panel.<\/p>\n

A soaring demand for digital workflows and business applications coincides with a relative shortage of developers with full coding skills. There are, however, literally billions of knowledge workers that understand their own workflows and processes and know what applications they would like to build and how those applications should perform. A platform like 8.0 Atlas is designed to unleash that non-developer talent and make it possible to create applications in hours rather than weeks or months. One thing the discussion didn\u2019t dwell on is how IT will feel about this.<\/p>\n\n
