Both Arm and Nvidia played down those worries but <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2021\/11\/18\/nvidia\/\" rel=\"noopener\">regulators on three continents opened investigations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The US Federal Trade Commission <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2021\/12\/03\/us_trade_watchdog_tells_nvidia\/\" rel=\"noopener\">voiced unease with the agreement<\/a> by suing to prevent the deal in December. The significant investments that Masa has made have positioned Arm to expand the reach of the Arm CPU beyond client computing to supercomputing, cloud, AI and robotics.
