Reset Your Discord Password<\/h2>\n

If you can\u2019t recall your account password, use the email address or phone number associated with your account to reset the password<\/a>. Here\u2019s how to do that on desktop and mobile.<\/p>\n

Reset Password on Desktop<\/h3>\n

To reset your Discord password on desktop, first, launch the Discord app on your computer. Feel free to use Discord for the web<\/a> if you want.<\/p>\n

On the login screen in Discord, click the \u201cEmail or Phone Number\u201d field and type your email address or phone number linked to your account. Then click the \u201cForgot Your Password\u201d option.<\/p>\n

Discord will quickly open an \u201cInstructions Sent\u201d prompt. Here, it tells you the steps to reset your password have been sent to your email address. Close this box by clicking \u201cOkay.\u201d<\/p>\n

Open your email inbox and look for the email from Discord. In the email, to reset your password, click the \u201cReset Password\u201d link.<\/p>\n

The link will take you to Discord\u2019s site where you can reset your password. On the site, click the \u201cNew Password\u201d field and type the new password to use for your account. Then click \u201cChange Password.\u201d<\/p>\n

Your account password is now reset, and use this password to sign in to your account on all your devices. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

Reset Password on Mobile<\/h3>\n

To reset the password on your mobile phone<\/a>, launch the Discord app. In the app, tap \u201cLogin.\u201d (Don\u2019t worry, you won\u2019t actually log in).<\/p>\n

On the login screen, in the \u201cEmail or Phone Number\u201d field, type your email address or phone number to get the reset link. Then tap \u201cForgot Your Password.\u201d<\/p>\n

Within a moment, you will see a notification in the Discord app that the password reset instructions have been sent to your email address.<\/p>\n

Access your email inbox, open Discord\u2019s email, and tap the \u201cReset Password\u201d link in it.<\/p>\n

You will be taken to the Discord site. Here, tap the \u201cNew Password\u201d field and set the new password for your account. Then tap \u201cChange Password.\u201d<\/p>\n

Change Your Discord Password<\/h2>\n

If you have access to your Discord account, and you are only looking to update your password<\/a>, it\u2019s easy to do so.<\/p>\n

Change Password on Desktop<\/h3>\n

On your desktop, launch the Discord app (or Discord for web<\/a>). In Discord\u2019s bottom-left corner, next to your username, click \u201cUser Settings\u201d (a gear icon).<\/p>\n

In settings, from the left sidebar, select \u201cMy Account.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Click<\/p>\n

In the \u201cPassword and Authentication\u201d section on the right, click \u201cChange Password.\u201d<\/p>\n

A \u201cChange Your Password\u201d window will open. Here, click the \u201cCurrent Password\u201d field and type your current account password. Then click the \u201cNew Password\u201d field and type the new password for your account. Enter the new password in the \u201cConfirm New Password\u201d field as well.<\/p>\n

Then click \u201cDone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Change Password on Mobile<\/h3>\n

On your mobile phone, launch the Discord app. In Discord\u2019s bottom bar, tap your profile icon.<\/p>\n

Once you have typed both your old and new passwords, in Discord\u2019s bottom-right corner, tap the save icon (a floppy disk<\/a>).<\/p>\n
