The Federal Operations Unit Zone A of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), yesterday, stated it intercepted 34,725 litres of smuggled petrol, 12 trailers of rice, 201 cartons of expired seasoning (Hen cubes) amongst different contrabands.

The Unit stated it arrested 9 suspects in reference to some seizures that had been intercepted, whereas attempting to smuggle them into the nation.

Talking at a press briefing in Lagos, the Customs Space Controller (CAC), FOU Zone A, Deputy Comptroller, Hussein Ejibunu, stated in furtherance to its dedication at implementing authorities’s legal guidelines and insurance policies, aimed toward safeguarding the nation’s financial system in addition to its residents well being, the Unit had intercepted some items which are of well being and security considerations.
